VK01 LED Modes Depending on Button/Volume Setting

Hi,

Would it be possible to have an option on the Anticater software to change LED modes when clicking certain buttons. For example, it would be nice to be able to have LED lights on when the volume is >0 and then no LEDs when the volume =0 or muted. Or even some kind of animated LED mode when increasing or decreasing the volume. These are just example, but would be a very good addition.

Thanks,

Ben

There are no problems at the software level; the main issue is with the encoder. On the physical side, the encoder needs to be developed and manufactured entirely from scratch.

Thank you for your reply. I am not sure I fully understand the issue. The software already provides the ability to change the LED modes of the VK01, and there are existing modes that keep the LEDs permanently on (for example, green or white) or permanently off.

Would it not therefore be possible to allow the software to switch between LED modes (for example, mode A → mode B and mode B → mode A) as one of the actions assigned to a button, rotation, or hold-and-rotate gesture? Alternatively, could the LED mode be set dynamically based on system conditions read by the software, such as whether the computer volume is muted or unmuted?

I appreciate that I am not a software or hardware developer, so I may be mistaken, but from a user’s perspective this appears to be a software-only change rather than a hardware limitation. Unless, of course, the limitation comes from the software being a run-only executable rather than a fully installed application.

Thank you again for your response.

It’s not implemented in the software. Because there’s no customization option; a custom keyboard uses a color for each key, but this is a knob with six lights, so you can’t create a one-to-one correspondence.
